Motherhood still remains the barrier to gender equality…..The only thing that can level the playing field at work is a level playing field at home. And that requires a major shift in public policy and corporate culture.

    Thanks for bringing this article to my attention. While not directly addressing the issu e I was mulling over at the time I read it, it helped me to see more clearly the paradox in our society that whilst it was the male-dominated medical and scientific institutions that led us away from natural birthing methods and nurturing babies it is those same institutions that are already facilitating at least to some extent the changes necessary to reclaim birthing and newborn babies back into the arms of mothers.
